Participants (Ages 7-12) will learn how to tie a fishing knot, take part in a casting contest, boat and water safety, learn some tricks for cleaning the catch, and make fish prints to take home. Wear clothes that can get wet, bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a snack.

Crazy Horse Autumn Volksmarch
New in 2013, the autumn hike on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 28 and 29,will be the public’s second chance of the year to walk up the world’s largest mountain carving in progress. Admission to Crazy Horse Memorial is Free* to hikers.
The hike fee is $3 per person, charged by the American Volkssport Association for the10K (6.2-mile) round-trip hike from the visitor complex. This hike does NOT replace the Crazy Horse Volksmarch in June.

Custer State Park Halloween Night Hike
Take a 1.5-mile guided hike along a paved trail and meet costumed characters that portray natural history about various plants, animals or people living in the Black Hills. Each hike will start at the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center and travel to the Game Lodge Campground where characters are staged at various campsites to act out humorous skits. Hikes depart every 15 minutes starting at 5:30 p.m. MT with the last hike departing at 8 p.m. each night. Reservations are required and can be made starting October 1, 2014.
