Welcome to Custer, nestled within the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. We at the Black Hills Mile Hi Motel invite you to enjoy a stay with us in the heart of historic Custer. Our motel consists of 15 cozy, country accented rooms. We are small enough to offer exceptional cleanliness and big on western hospitality.
	Each of our rooms is equipped with queen and/or full sized beds, air conditioning, refrigerators, coffee makers, high speed internet access (wireless and/or hardwired for no lost connections), color cable TV with remote control & HBO, and private bath with shower or tub/shower combination. All rooms are non-smoking. Senior & multiple night discounts available. Sorry- no pets. Enjoy the convenience of a Laundromat next door to the west and a restaurant to the east.
Step out your door and it’s only a short walk to several restaurants, local shops (Surroundings), and the 1881 Courthouse Museum, or if you prefer, enjoy the neighborhood park and Mickelson hiking and biking trail. Take a drive and within minutes witness Crazy Horse Memorial, the world’s largest mountain carving in progress. Explore Custer State Park, famous for its buffalo herds, other wildlife, and splendid scenery. Our National Treasures await you at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Jewel Cave National Monument, and Wind Cave National Park. The Black Hills have an abundance of exceptional attractions. Some we highly recommend: The thrill of Bear Country U.S.A, the fossil treasures of The Mammoth Site, the historic perspective of Black Hills gold mining at Wade's Gold Mill, travel through the Black Hills past at The Journey Museum, ride on the 1880 Train at Black Hills Central Railroad, experience the award winning Reptile Gardens, and saddle up for Horseback Trail Rides at Western Heritage Livery or at the Blue Bell Stables where they also offer Hayride & Chuck Wagon Cookouts. More to do within a 2 hour drive or less: visit Historic Deadwood, the Badlands National Park, and Devils Tower National Monument.
After each day of adventure, exploring the Black Hills attractions and breathtaking scenery, find your way back to your room to relax and enjoy the cool mountain air at one of our patio tables.
